Good Friday Afternoon!
We are just having an amazing day here in Winnipeg. It has been such a beautiful week too. What a great and refreshing way to start our summer holidays!
Just wanting to check in to see how the scripture memory is going? I recited the passage to Dave on Monday and had a few blips memory wise so I recited it again to Megan today and whoo - hoo!! I think it's good. It is a good passage to pray and meditate on. Thanks for the accountability in this.
If anyone wants, I choose a new verse on the first and fifteenth of each month - we could post our scriptures here on those days to remain accountable to each other? Let me know if you are interested?
Love doing this with you,
Nicole

I'm In, regarding the scripture memory. I love the idea of being accountable, even over "blog"
ReplyDeleteThe Psalm 119:9-16 has become a great prayer for me, and there are so many promises in the Bible that I want to meditate on and memorize.
I know I picked that portion of verses, so someone else feel free to choses the next ones.
I have enjoyed this way of connecting with each other. A deeper, more personal connection, not easily done with the distance b/t us, but with a common focus, it has given us a guide to our sharing and building relationships.
I know we all may have different things we might be studying, but if we choose scripture to memorize, we could maybe do our own further study on that portion of scripture, and share what we've learned about God, His character, His ways, how it impacts us etc... therefore, keep connected in this way??
Love the pic's
What if we were to do that very idea with our own individual passage. Do the further study, meditate, memorize and bring that back on the 1st and 15th? Would you be OK with individual passages and then being accountable with them here?
ReplyDeleteThe reason I say this is because I often pick scriptures based on where I am at. What I am working through.
If we are stumped for a scripture we may want to share the other persons?
Let me know. I can go either way.
